Workshop 2 of 3
(Intermediate Application and Modifiers)
This is the follow up class to Basic Off Camera Flash Workshop. Photo friends with basic OCF knowledge can participate in this workshop to take their skills from basic to awesome. The class will include a discussion and demonstration of what different kinds of light modifiers do and the different qualities of light you can produce with them. We will also go over selecting places and sites that will put you in a position to create great photographs. We will start with 1hr of lecture and move into two hours of small group collaboration & shooting with Models to practice with!
Using diffusers and light modifiers
* Explore the range of diffuser and light modifies used to shape and control our light. This includes, reflective and shoot through umbrellas, soft boxes, snoots, barn doors and gobos
Using multiple flash units
* In this section we will learn about flash ratios and using multiple flash units to compliment one another and produce the lighting required to create stunning portraits. We will cover main, fill and rim lighting techniques
Gels and Color Temperature
* Using CTO and CTB gels we will show how to completely change the mood of a photo with a simple change of in camera color temperature and some gels to correct the OCF
Required Gear: Camera, Off Camera Flash and Trigger
