Wildflower Haze is a one-day immersive wedding experience created for photographers, videographers, and content creators who are looking for something beyond the typical styled shoot. Hosted by Ryder House Design Co. at The Boardwalk Venue in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the event blends native Michigan wildflowers, layered editorial design, and elevated cannabis elements to create imagery that feels fresh, cinematic, and impossible to find anywhere else.
Unlike most styled shoots, this is designed to feel like a real wedding day. Guests will be present throughout the experience, creating the candid interactions, ceremony moments, cocktail-hour conversations, and celebratory atmosphere that are often missing from traditional portfolio events.
Attendees will have access to three distinct creative environments:

🌸 Veil & Bloom — An intimate bridal boudoir editorial set inside The Boardwalk’s iconic Bridal Dome, featuring soft lace, flowing fabrics, wildflowers, and subtle cannabis-inspired details.

🌼 Wildflower Haze
Wildflower Haze is an immersive styled wedding experience inspired by Michigan’s native wildflowers and the artistry of locally cultivated cannabis. Designed to mirror the energy and emotion of a real wedding day, this set will feature a ceremony, guests, reception details, and genuine interactions throughout the experience.
Vibrant florals, flowing chiffon, colorful glassware, and playful styling details create a joyful atmosphere that feels both whimsical and refined. From candid guest moments to romantic couple portraits, attendees will have the opportunity to capture the full story of a wedding day while exploring a fresh, botanical-forward perspective on modern celebrations.
🌿 Verdant Reverie
Verdant Reverie is a romantic micro-wedding editorial centered on lush florals, layered textures, and intimate design. Built around a rich palette of purple, green, and gold, this set highlights purple coneflower, Queen Anne’s lace, and subtle cannabis accents woven throughout the floral story.
Featuring an elegant tablescape with mismatched crystal, lace details, curated stationery flatlays, and refined botanical elements, Verdant Reverie offers endless opportunities for detail-focused imagery. Designed for creatives who appreciate artistry in the finer details, this set captures the beauty of a smaller celebration with a strong editorial perspective.
🌸 Veil & Bloom
Nestled inside The Boardwalk’s distinctive Bridal Dome, Veil & Bloom is an intimate bridal boudoir editorial exploring softness, texture, and quiet romance. The dome’s sculptural cement interior provides a striking backdrop for layers of lace, sheer fabrics, flowing veils, and organic botanical details.
Wildflowers and subtle cannabis-inspired touches contribute to an atmosphere that feels feminine, modern, and effortlessly romantic. Designed to celebrate bridal beauty through an editorial lens, Bloom & Veil invites attendees to create imagery rich in emotion, texture, and storytelling.

Event Schedule:
4:00pm-5:00pm – mix & mingle with attending guests & vendors
5:00pm-9:00pm – time to shoot! Enjoy 30 minute rotations with groups of no more than 3 creatives.
