MI Studio Space
The idea of Michigan Studio Space began as a dream talked about around a backyard bonfire with friends and family. As a mother of two incredible little girls and a professional photographer, I envisioned a studio not just for myself, but for a community of photographers at all levels of their career. I wanted to create a space where creativity meets convenience, innovation meets inspiration, and photographers come together to share and grow.
After countless months of planning, preparation, and a few happy, manifested coincidences, Michigan Studio Space opened its doors on November 1, 2022. It really has been a labor of love, and every piece of decor, every backdrop, and every light setup has been chosen to inspire and facilitate the best in photographic art. Our space will continue to evolve to meet the needs of our members.
Michigan Studio Space is more than just a studio; it’s a creative community home. We offer a variety of rental options for the modern photographer regardless of their project size or scope. Our studio features lots of natural light in the Xoxo Room, a kitchen and fillable bathtub in the Main Room Rental, a range of modern backdrops, and versatile spaces that can adapt to any creative need. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting out, our studio is designed to be your creative playground.
Beyond the Space
But Michigan Studio Space is not just about providing a physical space. We are dedicated to building a community. This year, we are excited to roll out a series of workshops and events aimed at photographers who want to hone their craft, learn from industry professionals, and connect with like-minded artists and continue to evolve the space as we grow. From beginner workshops to advanced masterclasses, networking events to collaborative projects, we aim to be the heartbeat of West Michigan’s photographic community.
